Color evokes emotion in the viewer, there's just no way around it. How we use color is very important to convey the message you intend - not just on apparel, but in overall design as well. When branding is designed, color theory should be heavily considered in order to channel your message into a simple, easy to understand logo or image. Here are the prevalent reactions to the central colors of the color wheel - see what logos/branding you think of first for each color!

RED - attention-grabbing, alarming

ORANGE - enthusiasm

YELLOW - energy, can be over-used easily and sometimes hard to see

GREEN - growth, renewal, nature

CYAN - clean, fresh

BLUE - stability, calmness (most common used color in branding)

PURPLE - comforting, sophistication, royalty

PINK - vibrant, romantic
